Micro adjust. Is it really crucial?

Hi all,

I have a mirrorless (Samsung NX) with a bunch of small primes.  I'm toying with the idea of getting an SLT and a fast zoom (Tamron 17-50 or maybe Sony 16-50).  Samsung is releasing a 16-50 f/2-f/2.8, but it will be heavy (doable since the bodies are relatively light) but really expensive (initial MSRP $1300).  The Tamron on SLT seems like a really good deal and would be just slightly heavier than the Samsung if paired with a smaller body (e.g. A37 or used A55/A35).

My question: Is the micro-focus-adjust "really" necessary.  I've seen some people here say after they used it on A77 they'd never go back.  Thoughts?

Thanks.
