uv / clear filters - the age old chestnut
11 months ago

For years I have used uv or protector filters to 'protect' my lens(s) . Recently I purchased a new high end Nikkor w/a lens and trying it out both with and without my usual hoya uv filter. I noticed that without the images were (or appeared to be) sharper and a bit more contrasty. It may be my imagination or in other members opinions - what do you think .

Maybe you can give me some reasons for and against using a filter. Particularly with d600 d7100 and high end glass.
