10-bit Video Card?
Jan 21, 2014

Looking to buy a new wide-gamut monitor in the near future, and I see that the Dell models that I am looking at support 10-bit (U3014 or the U2713H). I also see that the U2713H says it supports 8 bit + FRC (whatever that means) whereas the U3014 only says 10-bit.

I am currently running a Nvidea GTX 560 Ti, which works well with my current monitor, but how will it work with a new monitor? I am assuming that I will not get the wide gamut benefits of the new monitor without the 10-bit card, but will it still work well with the older card, or will the display look terrible?

If I go 10-bit, what are your suggestions?
