Canon 6D with ACK-E6 ac adaptor
I just got the ACK-E6 ac adaptor for my canon 6d - I'm planning to use it for timelapse overnight.
I can plug the battery in, but for the life of me I cant figure out how to make it work.
I found that the camera wont power on unless I have the battery door closed - however this is not possible with the cord of the ac adaptor hanging out. If I press on the little button which is normally indented when the battery door is closed the camera will power on using the ac adaptor, however I cant sit there all day with sharp object pointing it in. Does anyone know if I am doing something wrong?
I looked up some reviews on youtube to see how they do it, and they all seem to have a battery grip - so I'm not sure if this is some limitation with not using a battery grip.
