Canon 70D two lens kit bundle, one STM and one not?
Jan 20, 2014

I'm a long time Olympus user, but with the end of the 4/3rds body I can use (without an adapter) I'm toying with switching brands. Obviously, that means starting over with no lenses. My first Olympus DSLR was the E-500, bought as a kit, over time I bought higher grade lenses, and longer ones as I do a lot of bird photography.

I've been looking at the 70D at my local Costco, the two lenses sold as the kit has an EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM and EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS II Lens. Not sure why they don't bundle with both lenses being STM. how big a difference is that?
