Acceptable photo from NEX-6 w/ 50f18 Prime @ ISO400?

I took my NEX-6 and 50mm Sony E-Mount prime to a hockey game tonight to try out the lens for sports photography. I kept the lens at f1.8 the entire time and switched between ISO-400 and ISO-800 to try out different shutter speeds. This was one of the sharper photos I got, no doubt because there wasn't as much motion here and focusing was easier.

Is this about as good as I could do with this lens and camera? It seems like anything over 400 ISO quickly degrades in quality on this camera (both sharpness and noise). I might have been able to get away with ISO-200 here at f1.8, but it would have likely given me a shutter speed of 1/200 or slower.
