JB E-M1 grip vs RRS BOEM1 grip for E-M1 - Opinions wanted
Jan 17, 2014

Has anyone tried both the JB and RRS grip for the E-M1?  Which is better?

The JB grip looks a bit taller, but the RRS grip has a centred tripod hole and also a spot to attach a strap.  Both look well made.  The RRS grip costs a bit more.

I note that the JB grip also has an additional spike at the front that fits into the E-M1 (same as HLD7) to hold it in place, but the RRS has a lip which might also be effective.

I think the JB grip is plastic (but durable), not sure about the RRS one.

I find the E-M1 is a bit small to grip with my larger hands (my pinky finger dangles)... I bought the HLD7 but it is a bit too bulky.  Might keep it for the extra battery for longer shoots though..
