Tamron 90mm Macro VC or Canon 85mm 1.8
I currently own a Canon 85mm f1.8 and an older Tamron 90mm Adaptall Macro manual lens that attaches to my 6D with an adapter.
The Tamron Adaptall is an amazing lens that creates fantastic images. It's very compact and lightweight. I use it for macro as well as portraits etc.
However, it is a manual focus lens and I want autofocus and IS/VC for flexibility.
Having both the 85mm 1.8 and a 90mm 2.8 might be redundant. The 85mm was purchased for portraits.
So I'm thinking about picking up the Tamron 90mm VC macro for both macro and portrait work.
Does anyone have experience using the Tamron for portrait and general purpose? How about for low light work like concerts?
Although f1.8 is nice f2.8 is perfectly fine with the Canon 6D high ISO performance.
