Is anyone using the 8mm 2.8 fisheye as their rectilinear UWA lens and if so, how do you de-fish ?

Living in NYC, the enormous FOV that the rokinon/samyang/bower fisheye gives is ideal for skyscrapers and other arhitectural shots, but I can hardly stand the distortion effect. After doing some preliminary research, I've seen some great de-fishing examples online which I have personally verified to a small extent. Here is one such forum:

I've tried to replicate the above Hemi example in Hugin with no luck. I was wondering if any of you are using that lens as their rectilinera UWA after defishing the images and how do you do it. I have the 10-24 on pre-order but if I get to have good results I might get that and the 14mm instead from ebay, both equal same price and approximately same total size:)
