Low light portrait taken with the 58mm f1.4 on a D800E.

This is one of the first photos I've taken with the 58mm. It was shot at ISO3200 f2.2 at 1/ 40 second in a dim restaurant. I love it's luminosity. But I'm reminded of the trade off shooting full frame: damn narrow depth of field. And with the D800E, so many pixels that one needs to shoot at higher shutter speeds to avoid blur due to hand movement. In other words, this photo shot in very low light does not have crisp resolution. I don't know how much if the low resolution is due to the lens, the narrow depth of field, and/or the low shutter speed.  One thing is clear to me, the lens has potential. But I also need to step up my game.
