Canon service story
Here is a follow up on the repair of my 5DIII. It had exhibited weird behavior in choosing to make jpegs for ⅔ of a shoot when it was set to RAW only. So I sent it in under warranty to the NJ facility. They replaced a circuit board. Every step of the way I have been able to talk with someone who has answers and information, is pleasant and up to date. They got the camera on Tuesday, two days later repair is complete and they are doing QC checks and then I'll get my camera back. Their communications have been prompt and I've never had to 'converse' with a computer.
