Dell U2412Mb-What Connector?
Yes, Display Port is it. I got a cord that hooks the HDMI to the DVI port, so I am up and running. What is the display port used for?
DisplayPort v1.2, at this time, is a higher bandwidth digital connection that has a much thinner cable. This supports sound and video as HDMI does however, the bandwidth is greater for those who might have a future need when 4k resolutions hit the market. Not to mention, these cables are cheaper if you get them from the right vendor and nothing less than version 1.2, the current version being used. Version 1.4 hits the market around October 2014.
