Thanks for the critique. I agree with your criticism of the second one. I've gone back to it a couple times and played with the crop and tried to correct some of the "off putting" effects.  I'll have to keep working it. Maybe upright in Lightroom could do something?

ill also take another look at the gloves photo. I didn't want to pull back any more as there was some really distracting scaffolding, but I haven't toyed with the idea of going in closer. I'll have to try it out.
