Budget flash for Oly e series

Hi guys, I am new here, and I would like you guys to help me to choose some flash on budget. I am still not sure what is TTL and how does TTL protocol work same way on different brands, so I am kinda lost now...

I have got e-450 with kit lens only, and I am looking for first upgrade, and I am pretty much convinced that I need much better flash, especially for family parties photography and some portets photos

I have found out few flashl models I am interested in:

http://www.yongnuoaccessories.com/flash-speedlite/yn-560-iii-4/yongnuo-yn-560-iii-flash-speedlite-for-canon-nikon-pentax-olympus.html

got some good reviews, but as far as I understand, it works only in manual mode?

This one looks very promising (two links, same model):

http://www.itumax.com/DPT3Series.html

http://www.ebay.com/itm/DPT-386AFZ-PROFESSIONAL-TTL-SPEEDLITE-/200909798609?pt=Digital_Camera_Flashes&hash=item2ec7283cd1 (it's said that they have dedicated sub version for Olympus - seems they have TTL support for Oly(?))

I want to know, can I shoot with Auto mode (avoid manual flash control when I need speed)? Would TTL feature help me then? Can this or another flash work mounted to my e-450 camera? Do I miss anything if I want to use flash remotely?

I already spent some time googling, but in most cases people talk about how it works with Canon or Nikon. My friend told me, that Canon has different TTL protocol, so you're my only hope to get better explanation what should I buy for entry level flash
