I was going to suggest that you buy something used or older and cheap. Get a few lenses and wait for the EM10 coming in ?Jan 2014. I have the EM5 with the 12-50 and the EM1 with the 12-40. The latter is a joy to use, more so than the EM5. However, i can not get used to the increased weight and liked carrying the EM5 much more than the EM1 on a wt. basis alone. I have used the 12-50 for 1.5 years now and printed to 13x19 from it and they are beautiful and sharp. There seems to be a large variation on the lens due to ? quality control. For the few times that I need a faster lens indoors or evening/night I have used the Lumix 20 f1.7 and the Olympus 45 f1.8 and been very pleased.

Just thought i would give you a different approach.
