Avoiding shutter shock on the Panasonic GX1/GH3 and the Olympus E-M5?
Dec 28, 2013

I've been aware of this shutter shock phenomenon for a while now. I read that the E-M5 have this feature that is suppose to address the shutter shock issue, but at the expense of increase shutter lag. However, does it work 100% of the time? Will shutter shock be completely eliminated? From my understanding, it's suppose to considering there's enough lag for the vibration to have subsided prior to the exposure being taken. Is this true?

Does the Panasonic GX1 have a feature to help deal with shutter shock?

What about the Panasonic GH3?

Thank you!
