Has anyone success to convert 5600 HSD to a strobist flash?
Dec 26, 2013

I've recently bought a radio trigger to my yongnuo flash but it started to behave erratic (Now it's OK). I thought why not to convert my minolta 5600 HSD to a full manual flash so I ordered this hot shoe converter:

http://www.ebay.de/itm/DF-8004-Flashgun-Hot-Shoe-to-PC-Sync-socket-Convert-Adapter-for-SONY-F58AM-F56AM-/270880808536

So far I have not much success. Actually I received the second item, because the vendor was kind to send a second one when I reported my problem, but I can't trigger my minolta flash with any of these adapter. I have even tried on a friend's nikon camera without any success. The converter was cheap and probably I can get back my money but I'm not sure what the problem is. Actually I can trigger the flash by closing the circuit between two pins but not on a camera or by the radio trigger.

Any suggestion??

Thanks in advance

Marcell
