Thanks OP,

I'm wondering if you selected the Minolta over other MF lenses of the era by checking a few out, or was it that you already owned one?  I happen to have a MF AIS  Nikkor 24mm f2.8 lens, but haven't bought an A7 yet to test it on.  I'm hoping it's very good.  A similar one was excellent on film.  The Olympus, Canon and Pentax ones are also said to be pretty good.

If you did run any field tests, how did they compare?
