K-3 good & bad pics - your opinions please?
1

Well here are two photographs which I feel illustrate the problems I'm having with the K-3 producing very varied results in IQ. Both taken with the same lens (DA18-135) and both at 135mm. In bright light - sunshine, flash - I get good results. In less bright conditions - shade, evening - I get poor results. I'm aware that the shutter speed(s) in the lower light situation(s) is/are not high, but with SR activated, the image of the "cowboy" taken at 1/80 sec should be the equivalent of shooting at what? - conservatively 2 stops so 1/320 sec.

The horse picture has been sharpened and processed, but the "cowboy hat" picture is hopeless with any amount of sharpening, little or much, it just becomes more noisy and blurry.

Neither image has been cropped. So what say you? Any opinions or comments are welcome.

1/500sec, f7.1, ISO 200, 0 EV, SR on

1/80sec, f8, ISO 100, -0.3EV, SR on
