A35 died - sudden black out

My a35 was shutting down intermittently the last 6 months, but I was able to get it working by putting the battery in the charger and returning it to the camera. This time my wife was spray shooting the camera with my son and it blacked out. I have not been able to get the camera to restart with the old battery in the charger trick.

Not sure what to do now, will probably just keep the mirror, accessories and throw the body away. I have 3 other cameras so I can live without it but it was a well loved camera. Its not worth spending the 300 or so to get it fixed (only paid 400 for it new), probably a shutter issue as the shutter is closed like the ones described in the link below.

Seems like a common problem for the a33 and a55 series.
