AF on & AF C always .. any problem with normal shots / portraits ?

As the D800 is very sensitive to focus I am considering using AF on with AF C single point pressed all the time for all my normal shooting .. was just wondering if this could produce out of focus shots when I trigger in a moment the AF C is refocusing bec I keep the AF ON pressed .. while AF S would have stayed looked on / not changing ?

Or will the AF C refocus if needed be so quick that there is no danger after the first focus is properly looked ?

Thanks for any help & sorry for a basic question but could not get my head clear on this in all the AF on threads here

Thanks bjoern
