In lower light levels, the most important thing is to not underexpose.  Pay attention to exposure on your subject and forget about "protecting the highlights" everywhere else.   I often add +1 or even more exposure compensation when shooting in dark settings.  It wont be as good or able to go as high as m4/3, but comments that suggest  these cameras are for outdoors only are ridiculous.
