Specifically for papillon_65, LeRentier and others.

I understand your opinion about poor people from new UE countries coming to the richer countries and consuming resources, increasing crime etc. Very easy to understand.

But what do you think about productive, educated people from new EU countries (Romania, Bulgaria) coming to your country? For example, a software engineer from one of these countries who came here on a business trip said that it would not be so easy for him to emigrate to Germany because he would not be treated equally, frowned upon etc. Although he would get a salary higher than the average salary in any European country, crime rate among engineers is negligibly low etc, unemployment among software engineers is very low - so his presence in your country will improve statistics.

For reference, here in the US most software engineers are foreigners. By the looks of it (and accents) in trainings, professional conferences etc probably as many as 80% are not born in the States.
