I purchased the above glass screen protector at the same time as my LX7...it applied perfectly straight and even with no trapped dust, and it's the best $15 I've ever spent on photo accessories. It's super tough glass, and only has one tiny <1/4" scratch on the opaque black edge, from when it had to go in a pocket with my keys.

All the pros of any other screen protector, without the cons of being soft, gummy, bubbly, having corners peeling up, etc. It really looks like the camera came with it stock.

I agree, a protector is worth it. I have had a few LCDs scratched. It's not always possible to prevent that from happening.

Now, I always buy The Vello glass protector. Easy to apply and it works great.
