They should have launched the D800 sensor as a D4X. They should have launched the D600 sensor as the D800. The D600 could have been the place of a D400. (DX sensor D800 body + AF).

That is not what i meant. My point is an intelligent company is not worried about cannibalising their sales as long as it is with their own products.

I think the D800 is spot on
