Yes, also with a d3 battery. My d700 has been set up that way since the first week that I owned it. I like it very much when it is set up that way, but it isn't a d3, not even all that close. That's why I got the d3s. The speed, AF and ergos make it the finest camera that I've ever owned.

No matter what gripes people may have about Nikon. They can't say that Nikon didn't do the d3 generation right. IMO, every camera of that generation is/was a winner, top notch equipment.

My d800 might run 4fps.

Maybe... dunno. Mine doesn't seem like it runs all that fast. But, that's okay. I didn't buy it for that. It is a fine camera when used for the things that I bought it for.
