How to bypass exposure preview for strobists (will this E-TTL hotshoe work?)

Hi guys. We all know that exposure preview can't be turned off in the M, and this is a problem when using off-camera flashes with triggers in manual mode, killing ambient light, that gives a black exposure preview and makes impossible to compose the shot.

I know mounting an E-TTL flash (like the ex90) or a E-TTL trigger (like the Yongnuo YN-622C) makes the M "simulate" a lit shot, and makes seeing something possible.

I was wondering, will a cheaper E-TTL hotshot like this http://www.amazon.it/Pixel-TF-321-E-TTL-Adattatore-connessione/dp/B00554PCDG/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1386441547&sr=8-12&keywords=ettl+trigger make the M "believe" there is a E-TTL flash mounted, thus disabling exposure preview?

I already have my triggers and if this works it is cheaper, I then would just put on the top my triggers.

Thanks guys.
