But it does intrigue me - with so many units leaving the factory, is someone sat on a wooden stool at the end of a production line pressing the shutter release about 250 times, chimping the LCD then getting a loupe out to check the sensor for oil spots and maybe even a bit of front/back focus confirmation too? The logistics of testing are quite mind boggling.

Ah, I recall the days of my brand new Pentax ME Super with its little gold 'tested' sticker on it. I think Mr Pentax will have taken it home and shot a few of the cat to ensure all was well.
