In todays article he says the following:

  • Df — This is not the same sensor as the D4. In the ISO values up through about 1600 the noise levels are lower, which seems to indicate that read noise must have improved in the sensor (that was the gating component of the dynamic range of the D4 at lower ISO levels, much like the D3, only not quite as bad).

What are your thoughts on this? Nikon claims that they are using the D4 sensor. It could just be an improved D4 sensor which would make it different.
