Worthwhile Buying an X-E1 inspite of X-E2
Nov 29, 2013

Over the next few weeks/months the X-E1's price will become even more attractive to buy compared to X-E2.

I already possess a m4/3 camera from Olympus, an EP3 but I don't have their fast zoom lenses like 12-35mm/f2.8 or 12-40mm/f2.8, each one costs at least $1,000. My reasons for an excuse to purchase an X-E1 or X-E2 are:

1. X-E1's sensor is at least 1 stop better than EP3

2. X-E1 and kit lens 18-55mm f2.8 combo is about $1,000 and can be cheaper

when it is on sale.

3. The kit lens is excellent and aperture opens to a max of f2.8.

(question: can I get f2.8 at both short and long ends?)

4. I am also getting a second body "free"

5. Most importantly I get excellent images.

I am quite impress with Fujifilm, their older cameras like X100, XPro and X-E1 are still receiving new firmwares updates.

Do you think I should buy an X-E1 now or wait(for sale) for X-E2 instead of X-E1 if so please list the reasons for doing so, i.e. what are the advantages of X-E2 over X-E1, e.g. focusing speed!
