The great thing about digital cameras, is that practice isn't expensive like in the film days when only wealthy and privileged folks could afford the costs of learning and using film.

I did some math on this subject and the costs are quite staggering.

Assume a digital camera gets 150,000 shots for its lifespan. If shooting in slide film, you get 36 shots per roll at $20 to purchase and process the roll of slide film.

That's 4,167 rolls of film, and $83,333 to shoot and process 150,000 pictures.

I have no idea how to calculate the electricity it takes to charge batteries for 150,000 shots, but it can't possibly be very significant.
