You do understand the concept of an adoption curve right?

Yes, I have been in product development for 20 years.  20 very successful years I might add.

We've moved from innovators to early adopters - we're are currently bridging across the adoption chasm to early then late majority adopters..

It's basic stuff - applies to mirror less cameras just the same as any other new technology.

The trends for mirrorless are not positive.  Adoption rates have stalled, sales are stagnant at best and mirrorless is under the same threat as all other cameras are from smart phones.

So hammering on about lack of profits from mirror-less is missing the point - or the curve in this case.

Profits are needed because several of the mirrorless companies are in DIRE straights. Olympus has suspended its dividend on the condition that their camera division return to profitability.  Panasonic is in seriously bad financial shape, and Sony is not making money on mirrorless cameras.

Fujifilm is profitable overall, so can afford to carry along its money losing Imaging division, for the time being, but without a ROI at some point in the future, that wont happen forever.
