Honestly if you plan on using bigger longer lenses and you want to shoot sports I don't see why you would buy an sl1. You're better off with a 70d or even a 60d. If you hell bent on the sl1 go for the kit lens 18-55 stm and get the 55-250 stm. Both are very good lenses and are affordable. You'll get decent reach out of the 55-250 stm but it's on the slow side especially if you are going to shoot in low light. I have an sl1 and a 5d3. I've shot my 100mm 2.8L on my sl1 with nice results but it totally defeats the purpose of having the small body. The sl1 balances best with the 2 stm lenses I mentioned and the 40mm pancake.
