If you were starting over full frame right now, with en eye towards investing for the future, which system would you go with? This is over all types of photography, as I do portrait, landscape, wildlife, sports, and video.

If including wildlife & sports, then undoubtedly Canon or Nikon.  I see no reason to believe that those systems will not be in fine shape in 5 years (and do really care who "wins") ... meanwhile, they're vastly better suited to a wide array of photography than the Sony FE mount.  Even if you adapt A mount lenses, you're adding to the size of the kit, adding to battery drain, using SLT technology which decreases light to the sensor a bit.  The Sony lenses (A mount) lack IS because they're designed for the Alpha SLR/SLT bodies which feature IBIS, so you might look to 3rd party lenses for IS.  There are some perfectly fine things about the A7/A7r and if you specialize in photography that's well suited to them, it might make perfect sense.
