Canon Pixma 9500 mark ii and OSX Mavericks FineArt A3+ won't work
Nov 13, 2013

Hello,

i would like to ask if any user of newest OSX 10.9 Mavericks had any luck with printing to FineArt A3+ papers ?

I'm always getting Error Code 88 (saying that I have to choose proper paper size for FineArt paper.

I'm pretty sure I'm selecting right settings:

- paper type of either: Fine Art Premium Matte / Photo Rag / Museum Etching

- paper size FineArt A3+ (Margin 35)

This worked flawlessly on older OSX releases (10.5 throughout 10.8.5), but won't work on 10.9 Mavericsk..

I have tried 2 different MacBook PROs, also OSX10.8.5 to OXS10.9 upgraded version and also clean install of OSX10.9 .

I have also tried to set different region settings in OS.

Also tried different drivers (provided by either Apple = v10.70.0.1 and also latest Canon drivers from Canon support site =v10.84.0.0 .

Situation is still the same when trying to print from any software - be it Apple's Preview, or Adobe Lightroom 5.2 / 5.3 or even Canon's Image Garden..

My country Canon support told me they cannot replicate this problem and seems are therefore not willing to continue troubleshooting.. So I'm asking here if anyone has similar experience or got it working somehow?

Other FineArt paper sizes (Art A4 or Art A3) are working fine, only the A3+ does not work..

Many thanks!
