Why no m4/3 tele converters like Nikon/Canon others?

How often do you really need more than a 600 mm (equivalent) focal length? Olympus does make the TCON17 teleconverter lens (55mm filter size) that you can screw onto the front of your 75-300mm lens with no light lose. That would give you 1020 mm (equivalent).  If you need more than that buy a plane ticket to get closer to your subject.
