In reply to Robert Tolputt, Nov 1, 2013

I have owned a NEX-5N for over a year and recently purchased the XE-1. I developed a process that worked for me with manual lenses on the 5N that appears to work as well on the XE-1. I begin using focus peaking to get both focus and DOF (if important) close to what I want. This may require an aperture change. I then use 3x/10x mag to fine tune as required. This process obviously doesn't work on action scenes, etc. but I find it works great for stills on both cameras. My manual lenses are mainly Konica and Minolta, and I will soon be doing an image comparison between the cameras.
