Your use of average in this scenario is pretty awful do you really think US$100m each of EOS M's, Nikon 1's, Pentax Q and Samsung NX's have shipped???

More likely Olympus US$240m , Panasonic US$180m, Sony US$140m, Fuji US$90m, Nikon US$30m, Pentax US$30m and Canon US$20m????

Well I guess you look at a cup half full while I look at one half empty.

I cant help but see that the market leader in mirrorless, Olympus, has US$240m of mirrorless sales while Olympus's imaging division lost US$240m last year.

One really finds it hard to imagine just how many years of mirrorless sales it would take to make up for the loss of last year alone.

Olympus imaging losses for last year were partially made up of stock write down on point and shoots, closing point and shoot factories (which only has to be done once, their competitors still haven't done this yet) and a stronger yen, so I would expect quite a jump in profit for Q4 and a reasonable profit for year end....
