Canon and Nikon are just boring compared to Sony, Olympus, Pentax, Panasonic, and Fuji. I don't understand why Canon and Nikon dominate with their lack of innovation.

They make high quality cameras, not marketing gimmicks.

Are you saying that Rebels and D3x00 which make up like 90%+ of Canon/Nikon DSLR sales are "high quality cameras"?

Junk of the junk, NOTHING out there in the class is worse. Cheapest-made plastic bodies, worst controls, tiniest viewfinders not even covering the whole frame (wrong framing every time), slowest processors (sequential shooting speeds), no IBIS, tiniest AF systems, lots of artificial software limitations (like bracketing etc)...

Sony finally makes $400 (with kit) A3000 to truly compete with the junk. $330 already on some sales. Not sure it is going to work out for them - people don't buy the junk because it is junk and not even for great value - they buy it because of a lot of ads and brand recognition.
