That's it, that's it. And the street scene you showed again was a good deal of what originally got my attention about this topic. For the life of me could not see anything wrong with that "pushed" photo. least nothing wrong with this photo that a bit of color balancing couldn't fix.

(also interesting to read your description of the optics used for this photo)
