Smaller flange distance always means less telecentricity.

The four-thirds system had a relatively large distance between the lens mount and the sensor, relative to the size of the sensor. Mirrorless cameras (all manufacturers) are reducing the lens to sensor distance and are thus all less telecentric than dslr systems that must have a larger distance in order to fit a mirror.
