You don't need your camera to have a mic input. You can just record audio on your smartphone and then sync it in an editor. That is what I do. I record video on my Canon 310 HS which records amazing HD video. Then I record the audio on my Galaxy S4 using Sony ECM-CS3 lav mic if it's just one person talking. Then sync it in the editor, which for simple stuff, is not too difficult. If you need to record more than one person talking you can use something like the Zoom H1 with either the built in mics or you can attach any kind of mic to it.

The only cameras with mic inputs are DSLR and even then the audio amps in them are not the best. This is the reason the pros use external audio recorders to get the best sound quality.

PS To connect a condenser mic to your smartphone you need a special adapter: IP-MIC2
