Not upgrading.

The X-E1 is sharper than the X-E2. The X-E2 has an extra layer (possibly two) in front of the sensor. Sure, it is designed to have no negative impact on resolution, but the fact is you start to put layers of material in front of sensors then you pay a price.

Take a normal photo then put 10 perfectly clear panes of glass in front of your lens and take another photo. Despite the glass being perfectly clear there will be a noticeable difference between the clarity and sharpness of what you end up with. Even with only one or two panes, you will have a reduction in clarity and sharpness. The quality of light deteriorates fractionally with each layer.

Anyway, I'm sticking with my X-E1 for superior clarity and sharpness.
