Just wondering if a digital FM2 means the same thing to everyone.

From what I recall, the FM2 was a fully mechanical camera - no battery required other than the one for the meter. No AF, no shooting modes, just a simple fully metal body with a built-in light meter and manual controls. A film camera stripped down to the basics in a tough rugged body.

So what in today's world is a stripped down digital camera?

To me a digital FM2 would have the follow:

Direct buttons/controls over aperture, shutter & ISO settings

Weather sealed body

Large bright VF with a split prism focus screen from the old film cameras

It would not have:

Video modes

Scene modes

Auto focus

Interested to read what a digital FM2 means to others...
