Although nothing was formally announced, it was referenced during the Mac Pro intro and at the Macrumors.com feed, the poster noted that more than 20 Apple apps were getting updated today.

Of course, the questions are: which apps, what does an "update" mean, and do apps that span OSX and iOS count as one app or two?

An updated iPhoto app almost certainly means Aperture will be updated to maintain library sharing and common features.  Whether that update brings new features remains to be seen.  Frankly I don't care about a new version number if the features (the things that everyone complains is missing compared to LR) are expanded.  We shall see.
