Of course. Rebels, for the money they charge, offers excellent IQ, used to be market leading up to 2 years ago. As much as they are no longer market leading today, they are still up there.

The only thing Rebels are not good at is low ISO DR. for everything else, especially considering their resolution with current kit lens compared to compeition, they are very good.

I know nobody in the real world who only bought a camera based on IQ.

You are talking to one right now. Go to D800 forum see how many were Canon owners.

You bought a D600. Before that you had a 60D.

I don't think IQ is highest on your list of priorities.
