The bodies of both are magnesium alloy. Are you proposing that the Olympus magnesium is more expensive than the Sony.

Not skipping on rubber seals in critical areas for one thing.

BTW, I've never seen any picture of the A7(r) magnesium body. Ever. Your pics don't show it off either (it only shows the top and claims the whole body has it). Sony has a history of proudly showing that feature off with Alpha DSLR models, but not this time. It could be two random magnesium rods inside a plastic exterior for all we know. Yet you mister skeptical accept Sony's word no questions asked.
