I guess the Minolta Maxxum 7000 in the 80s, but I had a couple of compact cameras in the late 70s that I can't remember the models or the make. It was the first SLR with builtin AF.

One camera that I remember fondly is the Olympus IS 1. It was a hybrid, meaning it had a big zoom lens built into the body. It had a very sharp lens through the 35-135mm range. To this day I am still scanning negatives of the many pictures I took with that camera.
