Total Confusion re: 60D and 70D

I've read so many reviews, my eyes are crossing and I'm now totally confused. I have the T2i and looking to upgrade to either 60D or 70D. I mainly shoot birds/wildlife and quite like macro shots, but have recently "discovered" the joy of walk-about shooting. I read on the dpReview that the 70 D has a hard time tracking moving objects and is also not good with panning photos, which sounds like it would NOT suit my needs.  Someone else mentioned the AF points are too big and black, get in the way, and ends up being very hard to focus on anything in between the large dots.

BUT -- I've been told that the 60D is a minimal upgrade from the T2i.

Could someone who has used either or both of these bodies please help?  Videos are not really important to me.
