While the republicans have been trying to poo-poo the possible effects of a US default, it is interesting and frightening what could happen-

In the meantime, business leaders are warning what could happen if the US defaults-

Defender of Truth, Justice, and the American Way

This is a repeat I made on another thread:

The Political System and the Business System in the US have been successfully jammed by vested interests that are corrupt, dishonest and without integrity who are able to manipulate these systems without redress. Society is aware of this but has been rendered powerless by the skillful jamming of the systems.

This has been mirrored in the rest of the world. Any change for the better is blocked and this has lead to an increasing frustration and restlessness at the impotence experienced by society.

The suitably severe breakdown of the US and world Political and Economic Systems will provide the opportunity of breaking the logjam and providing society with the opportunity to rebuild systems and to place new leaders in positions of power.

Good luck.

Leaders who display honesty and integrity to be worthy leaders. Also to be able to build in checks and balances that provide for society to easily get rid of inappropriate leaders.

How do you propose we do this?  We cannot even pass a budget.

There are risks in precipitating a US and World crises. It will bring with it a great deal of hardship. However it may be for the best in the longer term

I couldn't disagree more....not that I think the present system flawless, just that it highly unlikely the next system would be any better.  .....and I don't wish to lose my assets finding out.

In my way of thinking yours is a very dangerous approach.
